After crayons are cleanly peeled, they are sorted by similar colors.

Traditional slow-cookers are used to melt crayons into a very hot liquid which will be poured into silicone molds. The crayon wax can be very hot, and the slow-cookers must be supervised to make sure the crayons melt evenly.
